Boxing prodigy Curmel Moton saw his match against Bryan Mercado called off due to a MAJOR weight discrepancy on Friday.
Moton, mentored by the legendary Floyd Mayweather, weighed in an astonishing 15 POUNDS over the limit.

The 18-year-old athlete boasts a 6-0 record since turning pro last September on the undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo, but he couldn’t add to that tally this weekend.
A native of Utah, the young fighter was set to face Mercado at 133 pounds in New Jersey, but instead weighed in at a surprising 148.7 pounds.
This significant weight issue caused gasps at the weigh-in, marking one of the largest weight discrepancies in boxing history.
Consequently, Moton was pulled from the fight due to the considerable weight difference.
Social media users couldn’t resist teasing the rising star about his drastic weight miss, humorously connecting it to a festive Thanksgiving feast.
One commenter noted: “Wow, bro had the ultimate Thanksgiving dinner.”
Another added: “He didn’t appear to even try to make weight.”
A third quipped: “His toughest opponent was cookies.”

After the weigh-in debacle, Moton provided some clarification, citing complications with his bloodwork as the reason for not fighting.
On Instagram, he expressed: “I want to apologize to all the fans who made plans to come to Jersey to watch me fight.
Derek Chisora reveals plans for surprising career change post-retirement from boxing but aims for a dream 50TH fight first
“I’ve been communicating with the commission regarding my bloodwork clearance, but they misplaced my blood sample in their system [which complicated the fight’s sanctioning].
“I found out about this issue three days ago, so I wasn’t particularly focused on making weight.
“Still, they insisted I weigh in for some reason, using that as a basis to cancel the bout.
“Regardless, I’ll be in Japan on December 30th. Looking forward to seeing you all there.”
