O’Sullivan Draws Parallels Between Wilson and Scheffler
Ronnie O’Sullivan believes that Kyren Wilson has the necessary “mentality” for long-term success, likening him to top golfer Scottie Scheffler.
Tonight, Wilson will go head-to-head with Michael Holt in the quarter-finals of the UK Snooker Championships.
As a seven-time champion at the Crucible, O’Sullivan values Wilson’s ability to handle pressure, especially following his first world title win earlier this year.
In an interview with Eurosport, The Rocket shared: “It all hinges on the individual; some may find the weight of expectation too daunting, hindering their careers.
“On the other hand, those with innate talent and experience tend to respond well and secure major victories.”
“Kyren definitely fits that description and is poised to achieve several more prestigious titles.”
O’Sullivan continued: “He reminds me of Scottie Scheffler.
“Whereas many players can hit well and showcase various skills, Wilson stands out in all aspects, making him a strong contender when he’s at his peak.”
