Joshua Zirkzee is facing challenges at Manchester United and is reportedly looking to leave in search of a reunion with his previous manager, Thiago Motta, at Juventus.
At just 23 years old, Zirkzee has scored only once in 18 appearances following his £36.5 million transfer from Bologna last summer.

The Dutch forward has struggled to earn a steady position in United’s starting lineup, primarily due to frequent managerial changes, including Erik ten Hag, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and currently Ruben Amorim, who has expressed his discontent with Zirkzee’s recent performances.
According to La Gazzetta, Zirkzee is aiming to make a transfer back to Italy in January.
Before joining Manchester United, he scored 14 goals in 53 appearances for Bologna.
Despite not being a prolific scorer, Zirkzee was acknowledged for his playmaking skills, which played a crucial role in Bologna’s qualification for the Champions League last season.
During his time at Bologna, he was coached by Motta, who now manages Juventus after an impressive playing career with clubs such as Barcelona, Inter Milan, and PSG.
Reports indicate that Zirkzee is eager to move to Turin to reunite with Motta next year.
Juventus seems keen to conclude a deal, as they maintain their unbeaten streak in Serie A.

For United to allow such a move, they will likely have to secure a suitable replacement first.
With the pressures of PSR and FFP rules, the club’s recent transfer activities have faced limitations.
This indicates that United might need to look for a short-term striker solution, which is tough to find in the current market.
However, Amorim’s disappointment regarding Zirkzee’s performance could lead him to pursue a player he prefers.
After his debut match as manager, which ended in a 1-1 stalemate against Ipswich, Amorim expressed his concerns about Zirkzee’s understanding of the No. 9 position.
Amorim commented: “Making prompt decisions is crucial; at this level, players shouldn’t require specific coaching for the fundamentals. It’s essential to control the ball and pinpoint the right moments to move it forward. In critical situations, particularly toward the end of matches, Josh must be positioned for incoming crosses.”
