
On Sunday morning, a devastating bus crash on the N1 close to Roux Park, Worcester, led to the fatalities of at least eight people, including six minors.
The Western Cape government has confirmed that the incident involved a bus making its way from the Eastern Cape to Cape Town, which overturned at approximately 07h15.

Emergency Teams Respond to the Scene
Western Cape Mobility Minister Isaac Sileku expressed his condolences and provided updates concerning the situation.
“Preliminary reports suggest that eight individuals lost their lives, six of whom were minors. Numerous passengers suffered injuries, varying from serious to minor,” stated Sileku.
Emergency response teams swiftly mobilized to offer medical aid to the injured and secure the site of the accident.

“This is a heartbreaking incident, and our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who perished this morning. We also wish a speedy and full recovery to those who were wounded,” Sileku added.
