The Placepot is a betting option where you select a horse to finish in the FIRST SIX races of any meeting.

You can choose multiple horses in a race – your stake is dictated by the number of selections in each race. So for staking, it’s 2x2x2x1x2x2, which totals 32 lines.

You may place any stake starting from 5p a line, totaling £1.60. If you wager 10p a line, it comes to £3.20, and so forth. As long as at least one horse in each race finishes in a placed position, you’ll get a payout!

Don’t forget to claim your £40 bonus when you place a £10 stake as a new customer with Tote HERE*.

Cheltenham Placepot tips – Friday, December 13th

LEG 1: That’s Nice, Country Mile

THAT’S NICE is set to leverage the 7lb allowance given to her over the boys, showing impressive potential after her debut win at Warwick last month. Nico De Boinville barely had to encourage her as she secured a smart victory, and she should build on that encouraging start.

COUNTRY MILE had a strong outing in a Haydock Grade 2 last month, albeit losing ground at the last flight. The anticipated firmer ground should benefit the Skelton runner, who still has ample room for improvement.

LEG 2: Caldwell Potter, Jango Baie

CALDWELL POTTER began to validate his significant purchase price with a convincing win on his chase debut at Carlisle just 12 days ago. He jumped well and is expected to show notable progression from that race. A previous Grade 1 performer over hurdles, he looks tough to beat.

JANGO BAIE has also excelled over hurdles and finished a disappointing second at Aintree last time out. Nicky Henderson is providing positive feedback regarding his schooling.

LEG 3: Valgrand, Tintintin

VALGRAND is anticipated to feel much more comfortable back at this distance, having opened the season with a Grade 2 win on the Old course. He won by 17 lengths there but was outclassed by the potentially outstanding Potters Charm over 2m5f last time here. Despite carrying top weight, his initial rating may be lenient, and he performs well on good ground.

TINTINTIN impressed by securing a strong fourth in the Greatwood Hurdle here last month. He returns from the same mark, presenting solid place prospects once more.

LEG 4: Chianti Classico

CHIANTI CLASSICO possesses enough class to carry weight following his remarkable comeback victory at Ascot last month. He displayed his talents by winning the Ultima at this year’s Festival and delivered a solid performance in an Aintree Grade 1. His outstanding jumping is his strong suit, and trainer Kim Bailey has commenced the season with vigor.

LEG 5: Shan Blue, Shakem Up’Arry

SHAN BLUE had several strong performances towards the close of last season and made a promising fourth on his comeback at Bangor last time. He traveled well for a significant portion of the race in the challenging ground and will welcome the predicted improved conditions. Although inconsistent, this marks his first venture into a veterans’ race which may finally allow him to shine from a reduced mark.

SHAKEM UP’ARRY tends to perform well after a break, having won the Festival Plate during his last appearance at Cheltenham. While he has an added 6lbs to carry today, he remains a formidable competitor.

LEG 6: Mister Coffey, Delta Work

MISTER COFFEY receives one last chance from me to secure a victory over fences. He made a solid return from a nine-month break to deliver a commendable performance on this cross-country course last time. Although he finished strongly in second, the winner had already surged ahead. With Nico De Boinville now familiar with his stamina, he can place the Nicky Henderson chaser closer to the pace, and his weight has favorably decreased.

DELTA WORK boasts a commendable record here and poses a significant challenge. Although he appeared a bit rusty upon his return at Down Royal last month, he is anticipated to regain peak form. With Rob James helping him shed 7lbs, he’s not even carrying top weight.
