The Placepot allows you to wager by selecting a horse to finish in the FIRST SIX races of any meeting.

You can pick multiple horses in a race—the number of selections affects your stake. Therefore, the staking is calculated as 2x2x2x1x2x2, resulting in 32 lines.

You can stake any amount starting from just 5p a line, totaling £1.60. A stake of 10p per line amounts to £3.20, and so on. As long as at least one horse places in each race, you can expect a payout!

Don’t forget to claim your £40 bonus when you stake £10 as a new customer with Tote HERE*.

Cheltenham Placepot tips – Friday, December 13th

LEG 1: That’s Nice, Country Mile

THAT’S NICE is ready to take advantage of the 7lb allowance she gets from the boys, demonstrating great potential with her win at Warwick last month. Nico De Boinville hardly needed to urge her on, and she can build on that strong performance.

COUNTRY MILE delivered a solid performance in a Haydock Grade 2 last month, though a mistake at the final flight cost him significantly. The firmer ground should aid the Skelton runner, who still has ample room for improvement.

LEG 2: Caldwell Potter, Jango Baie

CALDWELL POTTER began to justify his hefty price tag with an impressive victory on his chase debut at Carlisle 12 days ago. He jumped well and is anticipated to show noticeable improvement from that run. Previously a Grade 1 runner over hurdles, he looks tough to beat.

JANGO BAIE also had strong performances over hurdles and was unlucky to finish second last seen at Aintree. Nicky Henderson has been positively commenting on his schooling.

LEG 3: Valgrand, Tintintin

VALGRAND will feel much more comfortable back over this distance, having kicked off the season with a Grade 2 win on the Old course. He won there by 17 lengths but found the emerging talent Potters Charm too tough over 2m5f last time out here. Even with top weight, his starting mark may be generous, and he excels on decent ground.

TINTINTIN captured attention with a strong fourth-place finish in the Greatwood Hurdle here last month. He returns from the same mark, presenting solid place prospects again.

LEG 4: Chianti Classico

CHIANTI CLASSICO possesses enough quality to carry weight after his remarkable comeback win at Ascot last month. He displayed his talent by winning the Ultima at this year’s Festival and performed admirably in an Aintree Grade 1. His exceptional jumping remains his greatest strength, and trainer Kim Bailey has started the season strongly.

LEG 5: Shan Blue, Shakem Up’Arry

SHAN BLUE had several strong performances towards the end of last season and finished a promising fourth in his return at Bangor last time out. He traveled well for a significant portion of the race on challenging ground and will benefit from the anticipated better conditions. While somewhat inconsistent, this marks his first chance in a veterans’ race, which might finally bring forth his best from a declining mark.

SHAKEM UP’ARRY generally performs well after a break and won the Festival Plate during his last outing at Cheltenham. He carries an additional 6lbs today but remains a competitive force.

LEG 6: Mister Coffey, Delta Work

MISTER COFFEY gets one last chance from me to secure a victory over fences. He made a solid comeback after a nine-month absence on this cross-country course last time. Though he finished a strong second, the winner had already taken the lead. With Nico De Boinville now aware of his stamina, he can place the Nicky Henderson runner closer to the pace, and his weight has nicely decreased.

DELTA WORK has an impressive track record here and presents a significant challenge. While he seemed a bit out of sorts during his comeback at Down Royal last month, he is expected to return to form. With Rob James cutting his weight by 7lbs, he isn’t even carrying the top weight.
