Johannesburg – Gautrain is committed to providing safe and efficient transportation for those attending the sold-out Chris Brown concerts this weekend.
A dedicated bus shuttle service is in place, running between Park Station and FNB Stadium.
“To ensure a secure and seamless journey for concert attendees on December 14 and 15, 2024, Gautrain will offer a special late-night service for concert-goers, as well as bus shuttles connecting Park Station to FNB Stadium,” announced Gautrain management.
“While the standard Gautrain service ends at 20:30, the late-night service will start after the concert, with the last train leaving Park Station at 00:00,” they added.
“Regular Gautrain train, bus, and parking rates will be applicable for this service.”
This Gautrain operation for the Chris Brown concert is part of a broader public transport strategy involving multiple transportation providers within the province, designed to accommodate the anticipated large crowds.
According to Tshepo Kgobe, CEO of Gautrain Management Agency, the Gautrain is fulfilling its essential role of providing a reliable public transport system that serves not only daily commuters for work, business, and education but also caters to significant social, sports, and lifestyle events across Gauteng.
“The integrated public transport service for the Chris Brown concert is set to alleviate road congestion and minimize accidents while encouraging the use of public transport instead of private vehicles,” remarked Kgobe.
