Durban – A young woman in her twenties tragically fell from a high-rise building and lost her life in the heart of Durban’s central business district.
Describing the distressing incident, ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson stated: “At around noon on Saturday, ALS Paramedics received a call to attend to a situation involving an individual who had fallen from an approximate height of five stories at Pine Parkade on Commercial Road in Durban CBD.”
Upon their arrival, paramedics found that the Metro Police Search and Rescue unit was already present at the scene.
“The medics were led to a female, believed to be in her twenties, who was lying on the bustling roadway,” Jamieson shared.
“Upon assessment, paramedics found that the woman had sustained critical injuries, and sadly, there was nothing that could be done to revive her. She was pronounced dead at the site.”
“At this moment, the details surrounding the cause of this incident are still unknown.”
The authorities are currently investigating the matter.
