Pretoria – The City of Tshwane has announced an emergency power shutdown affecting the Rosslyn area.
“Residents in proximity to the Rosslyn 132/11kV Substation are hereby notified of an emergency power outage scheduled for today, (22 December 2024), to allow for maintenance of electrical equipment in the region,” the City formally stated.
“For safety considerations, the City deemed it essential to pause the power supply for a period of 12 hours.
“This crucial maintenance work is anticipated to conclude by 00:00.”
The City of Tshwane has indicated that the following regions and businesses will be affected:
- BMW
- BEVA
- August/Leaple (MA)
- Nedbank
- ASEA
- Rautenbach
“Customers are urged to assume all equipment is live. The City expresses its apologies for this unavoidable disruption in power supply,” the statement released on Sunday, (22 December 2024) emphasized.
