LENNOX LEWIS has urged Tyson Fury to take on Anthony Joshua next, especially after Fury’s recent disappointing loss to Oleksandr Usyk.
In May, Usyk made history by being the first fighter to defeat Fury, achieving a notable split-decision victory in Saudi Arabia.
In a controversial rematch held in Riyadh, the Ukrainian secured a 116-112 unanimous decision, with Fury only winning four rounds.
Following Usyk’s consecutive victories and his desire for a rematch with Daniel Dubois, the legendary Lewis has suggested that the 35-year-old AJ should challenge Fury.
He mentioned to TNT Sports: “He goes to London, the biggest fight in history, maybe Anthony Joshua.”
In the aftermath of the decision’s announcement, Fury exited the ring abruptly, leading to speculation regarding his future, which promoter Frank Warren now needs to address.
Warren commented: “I’m not certain; he is quite disheartened, just like I am.
“I’m impartial; everyone who was there seemed to have the same view.”
When asked if the 36-year-old Fury would return to the ring, Warren replied: “That’s really his choice.
“It’s too early; emotions are high right after a match. We’ll see. It’s strange. Can you honestly say he only won four rounds out of eight?”

Dubois, 27, confronted Usyk, 37, in frustration after losing their previous bout in 2023 due to a disputed low blow.
Lewis remarked, “He can retire if he chooses. He is free to do whatever he wants; he is the champion.
“I’d prefer not to announce that a rematch will occur only to find out later that it doesn’t.”
