CUDIS, which is backed by Draper Associates, has formed a year-long partnership with UCLA Athletics to promote its web3 smart rings among athletes and students.
The wellness company CUDIS, specializing in web3 technology, has announced a year-long collaboration with UCLA Athletics, a renowned collegiate sports program in California, to showcase its AI-driven smart rings. A press release shared with crypto.news on Thursday revealed that this partnership will include campus events intended to introduce CUDIS’s rings to UCLA’s student body and sports enthusiasts.
Moreover, CUDIS intends to enter into name, image, and likeness agreements with student-athletes from various teams at UCLA, encompassing sports such as men’s and women’s tennis, golf, basketball, women’s gymnastics, and football, according to the press release.
“This initiative is designed to foster discussions about healthy lifestyles, performance metrics, and data ownership, enabling student-athletes to utilize their image while promoting the product on their platforms.”

As part of this partnership, CUDIS will connect with UCLA fans through engaging campaigns, including lucky draw contests held at sports events, utilizing UCLA Athletics’ branding to integrate its smart rings into the college’s athletic culture.
One blockchain ring to rule them all
Edison Chen, the CEO of CUDIS, stated that this collaboration “is particularly meaningful for us as we contribute back to the community that supported our vision,” further noting that “UCLA is where our journey started.”
The smart ring developed by CUDIS employs blockchain technology to track various health metrics, including heart rate, sleep, stress levels, and calories burned. Built on the Solana (SOL) network, the ring empowers users with complete ownership of their health data and delivers tailored wellness guidance through an AI coach. Additionally, the device features an adaptive rewards system that incentivizes users to adopt healthy habits by allowing them to earn rewards for positive actions.
In September, CUDIS secured $5 million in a funding round spearheaded by Draper Associates, with participation from investors such as Skybridge, Penrose, SNZ, Mozaik, NGC, Foresight Ventures, OGBC, Monke Ventures, and DraperDragon.
