Darts Enthusiast Unveils Plans After Securing £60,000
Damon Heta’s remarkable nine-darter today brought an incredible £60,000 prize to one lucky fan – the second awarded during the World Darts Championship as part of PaddyPower’s The BIGGER 180 initiative.
The fortunate recipient shared his aspirations for the winnings with PaddyPower.
37-year-old Mauro, a devoted darts fan and educator, journeyed all the way from Switzerland to be part of the event.
Reflecting on his victory and future intentions, he expressed: “I told my family and friends I would fund the entire trip if I won; I never believed it would actually happen. I’m absolutely elated.”
“This is our third visit to Alexandra Palace. We came to enjoy some football and darts – it has been an incredible experience with my friends, and winning this just adds to the enjoyment.”
“I’ve recently acquired my family home.”
“We’ll use the £60,000 to install new windows; it may sound a bit mundane, but we truly need them for the house!”
“I’ll also cover all expenses for my friends and buy some more beers! That’s the plan!”
Paddy Power is additionally contributing £1,000 for every 180 scored during the tournament, while encouraging 180,000 men to complete Prostate Cancer UK’s 30-second online risk checker.
