The atmosphere is always electric when these clubs go head to head.

This derby will unfortunately be remembered for all the negative reasons.

Earlier reports indicated fans ignored stern warnings from both the SFA and the government regarding pyrotechnics, as fireworks were fired off by supporters from both clubs within the stadium before kickoff.

The stadium was filled with smoke just prior to the match, with fans persistently igniting pyrotechnics throughout the game.

The match descended into disorder as Dunfermline managed to equalise multiple times after falling behind late in the match.

Chaotic celebrations erupted in the Falkirk stand as fans surged onto the field, believing that Liam Henderson had secured a win for their team in the 87th minute; however, Dunfermline’s captain leveled the score shortly after during stoppage time.
