Reports suggest that CRISTIANO RONALDO is urging Al-Nassr to seek a transfer for his former teammate Casemiro from Manchester United.
Casemiro is currently in discussions about a potential move to the Saudi Pro League this month, following a challenging two-season period at Man Utd.
The 32-year-old Brazilian has faced significant scrutiny recently while attempting to return to his previous performance levels.
Speculation about a January transfer to the Middle East is growing stronger.
According to The Telegraph, Al-Nassr appears to be leading the chase for the midfielder’s signature.
A transfer to the Riyadh club would reignite his partnership with Ronaldo, along with other former teammates from Real Madrid and Manchester United, as Ronaldo is reportedly enthusiastic about the move.
Further sources indicate that Ronaldo is personally trying to facilitate this transfer.
This has led some Manchester United supporters online to believe that their previous star player maintains a sentimental bond with the club, especially since Casemiro’s exit could relieve the financial strain of an eye-watering £350,000 weekly salary from their Old Trafford payroll.
Casemiro’s contract with the Red Devils extends until 2026.
Ronaldo, however, has yet to confirm his long-term intentions with Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo is currently in the last six months of his £175 million-per-year contract with Al-Nassr and is considering his future options.
While Al-Nassr hopes to keep their star player, there are rumors about the 39-year-old potentially moving to the USA to compete against Lionel Messi in the MLS.
Nonetheless, Ronaldo has stated he is enjoying life in Saudi Arabia for the time being.
He noted recently, “I’m happy, and my family is happy. We’ve embarked on a new chapter in this wonderful country.
“Life is great, and football is fantastic. We are all developing, both as individuals and as a team.”
Since moving to Saudi Arabia in 2023, Ronaldo has netted 74 goals and contributed 18 assists in 83 matches.
