JAKE PAUL seems to have hinted at a possible matchup with Tyson Fury, shortly before the unexpected retirement announcement of the British boxing champion.
Fury, whose brother Tommy claimed a win over Paul in 2023, took to social media to disclose his decision to withdraw from boxing.
In response, YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul made an ambiguous comment regarding a possible bout with the Gypsy King.
In a now-removed post, he stated: “Well, there goes the big reveal. It appears we need to shift our focus to the other Fury.”
Fury has recently suffered consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, 37, and is now seemingly retreating from a fight with Anthony Joshua, 35.
At 36, he announced on Instagram: “Hello everyone, I’ll keep this short. I’m announcing my retirement from boxing.
“It has been an amazing journey, and I’ve appreciated every moment. I’ll conclude with this – Dick Turpin wore a mask.
“God bless everyone, and see you on the other side.”
Meanwhile, Paul, 27, recently defeated Mike Tyson, 58, in a controversial match last November that drew criticism due to the significant age gap.
The American is currently gearing up for his next fight, with speculations pointing towards a potential bout with Fury’s brother Tommy.

Tommy, who outpointed Paul in Saudi Arabia, has stepped away from a fight against Darren Till, 32, following threats from the former UFC fighter.
The 25-year-old former Love Island contestant has indicated that he is actively seeking a new opponent.
This comes after Paul accused Fury of rejecting a £6.3 million ($8 million) offer for a rematch on Netflix.
Tyson Fury declares his retirement from boxing, mentioning a cryptic ‘Dick Turpin wore a mask’ statement, leaving the Anthony Joshua fight in limbo.
