SUPERVISOR (3.45 Plumpton, nap)
No jockey performs better in a staying chase than Charlie Deutsch, and Venetia Williams typically finds success with horses like this 11-year-old, who came close to winning at Warwick recently. He runs well at this Sussex National distance, and soft ground will be an additional advantage.
CONFINENTIC (3.15 Plumpton, nb)
This horse has shown potential in novice races, placing fourth at Fontwell followed by a notable victory here last time. Although that win was over two miles, Chris Gordon’s advancing horse exhibited stamina and is anticipated to perform even better in this longer race. He partners effectively with jockey Freddie Gordon, who takes off a helpful 3lb.
ZAFAAN (8.00 Wolverhampton, treble)
He made a strong return to this level after his stint hurdling, narrowly missing victory at Southwell ten days ago. He excels at this distance and remains competitive thanks to his trainer Charlie Clover. Having Sean Levey on board once again is expected to be advantageous.
KING OF SPEED (8.30 Wolverhampton, Lucky 15)
This horse boasts a solid track record over this distance, recently showing a return to form with a close second at Kempton. He is only 2lb above his last winning weight, presenting a strong chance for success.
