Johannesburg – Eric Tinkler has been appointed as the new head coach of Sekhukhune United Football Club.
The former Cape Town City FC manager returns to the PSL just months after his dismissal from the Mother City team in December 2024.
Tinkler, who played as a midfielder for Bafana Bafana, is a prominent figure in South African football, having coached several teams in the top division.
The 54-year-old has previously held managerial positions at Chippa United, Maritzburg United, Orlando Pirates, and SuperSport United.
Tinkler takes over from Lehlohonolo Seema, who left the club while it was ranked fourth in the PSL standings after 20 matches.
His coaching team will include Marc van Heerden, Paulus Masehe, and goalkeeper coach Nascent Nkhwashu.
