This win guarantees that Savage’s squad will participate in the National League North next season.
Incredibly, they achieved this with six games remaining in the season.
Savage took the helm of Macclesfield only last summer.
The club has been in operation for just five years.
After narrowly missing promotion in the previous season’s play-off final, they have achieved something remarkable together.
In a recent interview, Savage reflected on the occasion and became emotional, missing his father’s presence during this significant achievement.
Colin Savage, diagnosed with dementia at 58, unfortunately passed away at the age of 63 in 2012.
With tears in his eyes, Robbie shared his feelings, expressing concern for his mother, who could not attend the celebrations due to illness.

Despite this, Savage felt thankful to have his wife and children with him during the festivities.
Additionally, he issued a bold statement to rival teams, stating that Macclesfield is determined to win all their remaining six matches while aiming for an impressive goal tally.

Savage stated: “Winning the league with six matches left is remarkable. We didn’t just achieve this, we broke the previous record, and I’m immensely grateful to my staff.
“I genuinely wish my father could have been here to witness this moment. Seeing everyone’s families today… my mum, unfortunately, couldn’t make it due to illness.
“She told me, ‘I wish your dad could see you.’ I’m filled with emotion because there has been so much pressure, with my sons even worried I might have a heart attack.
“I have proven my critics wrong; I’m a fighter who stands by my methods. I just wish my parents could be here.
“But having my two sons here to embrace and kiss me, along with my wife, meant the world.
“Regardless of what others might say about me, this accomplishment cannot be taken away—my team has won the league in our first attempt.
“The players believed in me; now, our attention shifts to the next three points as we strive for 109 points and 100 goals—the journey continues.
“If the players don’t now recognize what this club means, it is one of the biggest names in non-league football.”
