The Red Devils needed THREE late goals in extra time to overcome a 4-2 deficit and clinch a 5-4 victory over Lyon, despite having initially led 2-0.
Harry Maguire scored the decisive goal in injury time, propelling United into the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they will face Athletic Bilbao.
However, Amorim shared some concerning news.
In a pitchside interview with TNT Sports after the victory, he disclosed that Lindelof and Mazraoui had to leave the stadium for personal reasons.
He did not elaborate on the specifics of their issues.
Amorim mentioned: “We encountered a situation with Noussa at half-time.
“Vic had a personal issue that required his exit.”
SunSport understands that Amorim’s comments referred to both Lindelof and Mazraoui, as each was addressing a separate urgent family matter.
Lindelof, 30, had been scheduled to warm up at half-time.

The Swedish defender was anticipated to replace Noussair Mazraoui at half-time.
However, due to Lindelof’s emergency, Luke Shaw came on instead.
Amorim indicated that the Englishman was only intended to play for 30 minutes as he returned from a long injury absence.
Instead, he ended up on the pitch for more than 75 minutes as United surrendered their two-goal lead, leading the match to extra time.
Lyon, who were reduced to ten players, netted two more goals—one from a penalty awarded for a foul by Shaw—before Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, and Maguire scored in the 114th, 120th, and 121st minutes, resulting in an astonishing comeback.
Amorim, who deployed Maguire forward during extra time, remarked: “I was watching the 1999 [Treble] documentary for inspiration in moments like these.
“It was a remarkable evening. The team was spent, finding ourselves trailing 4-2 against a side with one less player; we thought it was over, but here, it’s never over.
“Anything is achievable, and you can feel it in the atmosphere. At 4-3, following Bruno Fernandes’ penalty, we detected a change in momentum.”
“We pushed Harry Maguire up front as he’s the only player capable of scoring a header.
“The noise from the stadium was the best I’ve ever experienced. While many collect jerseys and scarves, I wish to preserve that sound, as it’s the greatest sound in the world.
“I empathize with those who left the match at 4-2 due to traffic; they will surely feel let down.
“We recognize that we are not performing to our potential and accept all criticism, but there’s still time to achieve something great this season.
“One moment can change many players’ mentalities; we must keep a strong focus on the Europa League, and at times, we must take risks with younger players in the Premier League. Our fans need to understand that our priority must be the Europa League.”
