As Nasreddine Nabi enters his second year as head coach, he assures fans that Kaizer Chiefs will demonstrate noticeable improvement following a challenging debut season.
In his inaugural season, Nabi was unable to lead the team to a top-eight finish in the Betway Premiership, as the squad concluded the season in ninth place.
However, the season wrapped up on a high note, with the Amakhosi ending a ten-year drought for silverware by winning the Nedbank Cup.
Nabi has committed to overhauling the team, and fans are optimistic that this season, the club will compete for a top-four position or even the league championship.
“I can’t make specific comments regarding the title,” Nabi stated. “My priority is to focus on each match individually, and I am confident we will deliver improved performances this season.”

The Chiefs will kick off their 2025/26 season with an away game against Stellenbosch at DHL Stadium on Sunday at 17:30.
Chiefs have a strong record against Stellenbosch, having secured victories in three encounters last season, including both league matches and the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals.
“It’s going to be a fiercely competitive league, but we understand our roots and ambitions, and we’re ready to embrace the challenge,” Nabi reflected during the Betway Premiership launch on Tuesday.
