Strive has acquired 759 Bitcoin for around $50 million, marking its most substantial weekly acquisition in several months and surpassing Strategy’s latest BTC purchase.
Summary
- Strive has purchased 759 BTC for approximately $50 million, bringing its total holdings to 19,864 Bitcoin.
- This weekly acquisition outperformed Strategy’s purchase of 520 BTC, showcasing a rare occasion where a smaller holder has exceeded the largest corporate holder.
- With the backing of its SATA preferred stock initiative, Strive is enhancing its Bitcoin treasury in line with a projected deployment of $4.2 billion.
An SEC Form 8-K filed on June 22 reveals that the Dallas-based Bitcoin treasury firm acquired the coins between June 15 and June 21 at an average price of approximately $65,850 per Bitcoin, including fees. This transaction increased Strive’s total holdings to 19,864 BTC.
At the reported purchase price, the acquisition is valued at around $50 million. This recent buying activity shows a notable increase from the company’s previous weekly acquisitions, which were restricted to just 32 BTC and 73 BTC, totaling around $6.8 million.
Although Strategy remains the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder, Strive successfully acquired more BTC during this reporting week. Strategy reported purchasing 520 Bitcoin over a similar timeframe, highlighting a rare moment when a smaller treasury has outperformed its larger counterpart.
Strive is amplifying its Bitcoin accumulation
Recent SEC filings indicate that Strive’s cash and cash equivalents increased from $141.4 million to $144.5 million within this reporting period. Additionally, the company’s Class A common stock count rose by approximately 1.9 million shares to 71.8 million, reflecting ongoing capital-raising efforts through its at-the-market equity program.
Strive has also maintained a stake of 505,000 shares in Strategy’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, known as STRC. According to the filing, the fair value of these holdings has slightly decreased to about $44.7 million.
The latest acquisition continues a rapid growth trajectory that commenced when Strive entered the public Bitcoin treasury market via its merger with Semler Scientific in January 2026. This transaction added 5,048 BTC to its balance sheet at closing and set the stage for its current accumulation strategy.
Since then, Strive has been consistently increasing its Bitcoin reserves. The company surpassed the 15,000 BTC milestone in early May and subsequently announced a deployment of around $185 million in early June, leading to an influx of roughly 2,500 Bitcoin in just one week—marking one of its largest acquisitions post-IPO.
SATA funding model remains vital for supporting purchases
A considerable portion of Strive’s acquisitions has been financed through its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock program, known as SATA. These preferred shares currently provide a Bitcoin-linked dividend with an annualized rate of 13%, calculated daily.
According to company disclosures, capital raised through SATA and other at-the-market programs is allocated towards further Bitcoin acquisitions. Strive Management has previously characterized Bitcoin as a benchmark for assessing capital allocation choices, rather than merely serving as a reserve asset on the balance sheet.
With Bitcoin (BTC) prices hovering around $64,000, Strive’s treasury of 19,864 BTC is currently valued at approximately $1.27 billion. Company filings indicate that its average acquisition cost remains higher than current market prices, similar to Strategy, which holds 847,363 BTC and continues to be the largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally.

With a previously disclosed capital deployment plan of $4.2 billion still active, recent filings suggest that Strive is continuing to strengthen its Bitcoin position as the second half of 2026 approaches.
