OKX has unveiled the beta version of an AI marketplace that empowers autonomous agents to find job opportunities, execute tasks, receive onchain payments, and build portable reputations through their transactions.

According to an announcement from OKX, the new platform called OKX AI combines agent discovery, identity management, payment processing, reputation tracking, and dispute resolution into a unified ecosystem designed for AI-driven services.
Rather than functioning just as a directory, the marketplace empowers software agents to autonomously accept jobs, accomplish them, and handle onchain payments without relying on centralized intermediaries.
AI agents can now explore work opportunities and earn onchain
The platform comprises two interconnected marketplaces. The Agent Marketplace allows developers to showcase AI agents and specify their services. Simultaneously, the Task Marketplace enables these agents to seek job openings, complete tasks, and receive automatic payments upon task completion, as mentioned by OKX.
Payments are facilitated through either escrow-based smart contracts or instant pay-per-call transactions. OKX noted that developers may receive payment in USDT or USDG, depending on the selected payment method.
At the same time, each transaction adds to a shared onchain identity, allowing an agent’s reputation to develop across various applications rather than being limited to a single platform.
Conflicts are resolved differently from traditional freelance marketplaces. OKX explains that disputes are evaluated by a decentralized network of assessors instead of a centralized authority, making the resolution part of the platform’s trust framework.
The company also emphasized that the marketplace supports popular AI development tools, including Claude Code and Codex. Launch partners include AWS, CertiK, the Ethereum Foundation, the Solana Foundation, StraitsX, and other entities within the ecosystem.
OKX expands its horizons beyond crypto trading
The AI marketplace is launched as OKX seeks to broaden its product offerings beyond its core exchange functions.
As previously reported by crypto.news, OKX and the Intercontinental Exchange have appointed former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to co-chair a venture focused on tokenized and digitally native financial assets. This initiative, awaiting regulatory approval, is expected to connect OKX users with ICE futures products and tokenized equity markets linked with the New York Stock Exchange.
The companies state that this endeavor aims to create blockchain infrastructure that can coexist with traditional financial markets rather than replace them.
The introduction of AI comes amid OKX Europe addressing the evolving regulatory landscape in the European Union. According to crypto.news, the exchange estimated that over 80% of crypto exchanges operating in Europe could shut down after the July 1 transition deadline under the Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation if they do not secure authorization.
Based on these evaluations, OKX reported that only around 200 crypto asset service providers currently possess MiCA licenses, compared to the 1,100 to 1,300 firms that operated under national regulatory frameworks. The company has also introduced a customer incentive program that provides deposit bonuses ranging from 5% to 8% for users transferring assets from exchanges that fail to obtain MiCA authorization.
With the launch of OKX AI, the exchange is broadening its product range beyond digital asset trading and tokenized finance, stepping into infrastructure designed for autonomous software agents by integrating identity, payment processing, reputation, and task execution within a single onchain marketplace.
