Adham Makhadmeh, 39, has been selected by FIFA to officiate the match in Atlanta.
Makhadmeh has already taken charge of two matches during the tournament in the United States.
He officiated Spain’s unexpected scoreless draw at the Mercedes Benz Stadium on June 15.
The Jordanian, who has Bosnian ancestry, also refereed Belgium’s 5-1 victory over New Zealand in Vancouver on Friday.
A FIFA-listed referee since 2013, Makhadmeh is noted for permitting a more physical style of play, which could raise concerns for Thomas Tuchel’s team.
The civil engineer stirred controversy for Spain’s coach Luis de la Fuente during the 2021 Olympics by failing to penalize Egypt for a dangerous foul on Dani Ceballos that sidelined the Real Madrid star for five months.
