Cape Town – Attention all gamers, your next quest is here in the Mother City.
The MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience is set to take place at Table Bay Mall from 10 to 12 July, offering three days packed with competitive gaming, live challenges, and thrilling prizes at the centre court.
As one of South Africa’s top gaming tournaments—and the only one hosted in malls nationwide—MTN SHIFT allows players of all skill levels to join in, compete, and enjoy the tournament atmosphere in a welcoming space.
This eight-stop series features an impressive total prize pool of R350 000, with winners from each mall receiving prizes and a chance to advance to the national finals.
The action begins with the EA FC 26™ online qualifier on 5 July, where the top four contenders will earn direct entry into the Table Bay Mall Final.
The champion of the Mall Final will walk away with a R2,500 Table Bay Mall gift card and a place in the National Football Final, scheduled for August 2026 at Canal Walk, boasting a R50 000 prize pool. Second and third place winners will receive gift cards worth R1 500 and R1 000, respectively.
The weekend will also highlight Beat Saber, the Fighting Cup featuring Brawlhalla, Tekken, and Street Fighter 6, alongside free-play stations, a PC Gaming Zone, and the Keyboard Rebuild Race.
