A fire erupted during a lavish tennis gathering hosted by Roger Federer at a chic mansion in Wimbledon.
Security personnel took an hour to extinguish the flames, which ignited when two female attendees irresponsibly tossed their cigarette butts onto wooden chippings.
The eight-time Wimbledon champion attended the extravagant garden event, which included famous guests such as snooker great Steve Davis and MMA fighter Tom Aspinall.
The champagne-fueled soirée featured entertaining acts like a magician and a falconry display, with the fire igniting perilously close to a parliament of owls.
One guest remarked, “It felt utterly surreal.
“Everyone was having a blast, and suddenly the scent of smoke filled the air. Gasps ensued as we realized a fire was rapidly spreading.

“Fortunately, security quickly acted with hoses and water buckets, and after about 20 minutes, they successfully contained the blaze. An officer remained on-site to ensure no further damage occurred.
“Ultimately, it turned out to be an enjoyable and memorable evening.”
Guests were advised to evacuate the vicinity of danger, allowing the event—including a charity auction—to proceed without further issues.
It is reported that the two women responsible for the fire were escorted off the premises.
Prior to the incident, they had enjoyed exquisite catering from the upscale Japanese restaurant Sticks n’ Sushi and accessed three outdoor cocktail bars.
A display showcasing boxing champion Anthony Joshua’s belts was also featured, and thankfully, they remained untouched by the flames.
No injuries were reported amidst the chaos.
