First National Bank (FNB) has selected Linda Kachingwe-Sisya to take over as its new chief marketing officer, following in the footsteps of Faye Mfikwe, who has had a remarkable 19-year tenure with the bank.
In her newly appointed role, Kachingwe-Sisya will be responsible for directing FNB’s brand strategy, marketing efforts, and corporate affairs as the bank begins its next chapter of growth.

Her key duties will involve bolstering the lender’s market presence, enhancing customer engagement, and ensuring that the brand adapts to the evolving needs of both retail and business clients.

A seasoned marketing professional with expertise in fast-moving consumer goods and financial services, Kachingwe-Sisya shifts into her new position from the group’s Broader Africa and International division.
In that capacity, she managed marketing and communications across Africa, as well as in key international markets such as the UK, US, India, and China.
FNB CEO Lytania Johnson emphasized that this internal promotion highlights the bank’s rich talent pool and dedication to operational stability.
“Linda offers extensive experience, strategic insights, and a deep understanding of how brands can cultivate lasting relationships. Having successfully led marketing for our African and International divisions, she understands the opportunities and expectations that shape customers in a continually changing environment.”

Speaking about her new role, Kachingwe-Sisya expressed her immediate intention to build on the strong corporate foundations established by the bank’s marketing and corporate affairs teams.
