Johannesburg – Today, Sunday, August 2, 2026, is the last day for all South Africans to register to vote in person at voting stations across the country.
This is your final opportunity to visit voting stations and verify that your registration is up-to-date.
Only those who are correctly registered will be eligible to vote on Election Day, November 4.
“If you don’t confirm that your registration is accurate, you might lose your chance to voice your opinion at the ballot box,” warned MP Ashor Sarupen, the Democratic Alliance’s National Campaign Manager.
“In this election, your voice can propel your city or town forward. By not being correctly registered, you forfeit that voice.
“The power to access essential services and ensure your city or town operates effectively rests in your hands if you vote as a properly registered citizen this weekend.
“Take advantage of this last chance to register so that you can vote for a well-functioning municipality in your area.
“Only those who are registered possess the power in the upcoming November election.”
