Air France Introduces Exclusive Cocktail Collection Curated by Matthias Giroud

Johannesburg – This summer, Air France is unveiling a fresh selection of cocktails on all its long-haul flights, designed for passengers in every cabin class.

The airline continues its collaboration with Chef Mixologist Matthias Giroud, who has created a unique cognac-based cocktail for the Business cabin and a modern take on the traditional kir cassis for the Premium and Economy cabins.

Both cocktails are crafted using premium, 100% French ingredients.

This initiative showcases Air France’s commitment to the art of mixology and the nation’s renowned craftsmanship.

New exclusive cocktail selections in Business, Premium, and Economy cabins

In the Business cabin, Matthias Giroud presents Quintessence, an exclusive cocktail that embodies the elegance associated with this travel class.

Now available, this signature drink reinterprets the Boulevardier, a classic cocktail that dates back to France in the 1920s.

It expertly blends distinct French cognac with red Vermouth, an Alpine bitter liqueur, and a hint of fig.

Whether served on the rocks as an aperitif or enjoyed neat after a meal as a digestif, it promises a tasting experience that is both sweet and tangy.

In the Premium and Economy cabins, the chef mixologist has crafted L’instant Cassis, a modern rendition of the classic Kir Cassis, which boasts a rich history of over a century and epitomizes French aperitif culture.

This cocktail is a delicate blend of Chardonnay white wine and Burgundy blackcurrant liqueur, enhanced with a hint of elderflower.

Now available* on board and served with other beverages during the main meal service, this cocktail is best enjoyed chilled with ice cubes for a floral, sweet, and fruity flavor experience.
