TRIPLE H shared a heartfelt tribute to Dory Funk Jr. following the WWE legend’s passing at the age of 85.
The American wrestler carried on his father’s legacy and went on to mentor many current stars post-retirement.
Triple H, WWE’s creative leader, 57, expressed his sorrow through a poignant statement after Funk’s death.
The celebrated wrestler, Paul Michael Levesque by birth, stated, “It brings me much sadness to report the passing of Dory Funk Jr.”
“From the Double Cross Ranch to the WWE Hall of Fame, Dory’s unique style has shaped numerous performers in our field.
“Whether it was at WrestleMania Two, WCW, ECW, or various NWA shows, his extensive tours across North America and Asia were pivotal in establishing wrestling as a global phenomenon.

Dory Funk Jr. made a surprising return to the wrestling world two years back, winning his final match.
At the impressive age of 83, he partnered with Osamu Nishimura to triumph over Atsushi Onita and Raijin Yaguchi in Japan.
