Financial analyst Stefan Borson believes that Manchester City’s chances of successfully appealing any verdict diminish significantly once guilt is confirmed.
He predicts a scenario in which “total chaos will erupt,” as the club braces for what could result in a “harsh penalty.”

Recent findings indicate that City has been deemed guilty of 114 out of the 115 allegations raised against them by the Premier League three years ago.
Furthermore, the club’s refutations of these charges along with claims of lack of cooperation are not anticipated to bolster their case.
Borson, who was a financial advisor for the club prior to the Abu Dhabi takeover in 2008, shared with Talksport: “City must accept the consequences – and they are likely to be grave.”
“It’s undeniable. I have consistently asserted that following a guilty verdict on the most serious charges, it will be tough to ascertain the actual severity of the consequences.”

Man City faces possibility of mass departures as the fates of Haaland, Enzo, and Anderson hang in the balance.

Should City be declared guilty in the near future, an appeal seems likely, but Borson doubts their chances of a favorable outcome.
He stated, “They’ve disputed every detail, potentially spending in the neighborhood of £100 million doing so.”
“They are seen as having violated multiple regulations. They are in serious risk.”

“The reality is, they can’t prolong this situation indefinitely. It’s unlikely that Manchester City will succeed in claiming that the commission was biased.
“If they were to prevail on that front, everything changes – but that’s highly improbable. A resolution will emerge soon.
“They might consider escalating it to a higher court, but the likelihood of success in that regard seems minimal.”
Borson suggests the club may even try to delay the release of the hearing’s findings, which have been concluded for nearly two years.
He remarked, “We are entering a period of uncertainty – this could persist for several weeks, causing difficulties for City in terms of reacting and managing the fallout.
“I anticipate that the final judgment will yield a thorough document, potentially spanning 500-700 pages. I suspect Manchester City is attempting to postpone its release, yet that effort will almost certainly prove unsuccessful.
“The commission’s outcome will furnish the public with considerable grounds to criticize individuals within the club.
“After that, we will proceed to the sanctions hearing.”
