Mother from Atlantis Appears in Court Following Child Abuse Allegations
The girl’s mother appeared in the Atlantis Magistrate’s Court following her arrest. A representative from the National Prosecuting Authority, Eric Ntabazalila, confirmed her attendance.
The identities of both the minor and her mother are shielded from publication to prevent further distress to the girl. The court proceedings have been postponed until Tuesday, May 19, with the mother remaining in custody.
Investigations are still in progress regarding allegations that the child endured prolonged abuse.

Lightburn remarked: “I cannot fathom how an adult could impregnate an 11-year-old child while the mother remains complicit in this reprehensible crime.”
